Multi-Tasking is killing concept of specialisation and experts in their domain ? Would you prefer to hire expert or person with multiple skills .

At present lots of companies are downsizing their staff . They think that a manager can manage multiple functional departments.Dont you think it will affect the performance of each department . No body in this world  knows everything. Do you think as an employee , we should insists empoyer to appoint sepearte person for each trade. It will help to reduce unemployement as well.

There might be employees that are doing nothing, loss of market, managerial failure, financial failure etc.

If the business is successful. Is there such a thing as too many employees?

I'd argue it's a managerial problem. The Superman or Rambo stories are myths. They only exist in video games and movies. It will definitely affect performance. You can't do an accountant job + a developer job + a designer job. Any good work is a result of a Teamwork of specialties.
