Its one thing keeping your ear to the ground about upcoming developments in a bid to be a step ahead however this should not be where a lot of resources are used. Instead of trying to copy the competition, you should be a leader in your industry and strive for excellence and new developments but being informed about whats out there and using your grey matter to see how whats out there can be good for what you are trying to achieve at your company. Make it such that others need to place a spy at your place to keep an eye on what you are about to do next. You should be the one that other people want to copy

Knowing who our competitors are, and what they are offering, can help us to make our products, services and marketing stand out. It will enable us to set our prices competitively and help us to respond to rival marketing campaigns with our own initiatives. And it can be done by proper Survey from the competitor,s customers base.

There are basically two ways, one is legal & ethical while the other one may be illegal & unethical. 1. LEGAL & ETHICAL one- marketing intelligence & anticipation comes into play. 2. ILLEGAL & UNETHICAL one- spying on their developments & strategies for instance having an insider or informer. Thanks for the invitation
