Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is defined as the voluntary activities undertaken by a company to operate in an economic, social and environmentally sustainable manner.
Canadian companies recognize the value of incorporating CSR practices into their operations abroad.
Operating responsibly also plays an important role in promoting Canadian values internationally and contributes to the sustainable development of communities.

There are several definitions and annotations of corporate social responsibility. This is due to several philosophical and perspectives of the CSR. However, one should select the widely adopted in practices and literature of CSR which is the definition of Carrol. Accordingly, the CSR is to be profitable, compliant with the regulations and laws, ethics and give back to society and communities. It is not an easy job to reflect the CSR into the operations of the company. The corporations need to integrate it with its business model otherwise it will only a matter of marketing and deceiving stakeholders.

b. Welfare schems are launched in the remote backward  suburb areas of companies installations.

c. Many measures are taken up by the companies to compaign and organize events like

    free medical camps providing medicines, eye camps, establishement of Dispensaries, Trauma

    centres etc.

d. The C.S.R activities are named to do all for betterment of the areas or people dwelling in         sorounding areas where companies installations exist as source of income.
