Do I Really Need to “Eject” USB Drives?

Yes, if in case while ejecting if it shows that it is in the process then we can directly eject (If any file is in Open state then it wont be saved).

It is not necessary but for good practice and prevent it from data loss and corruptiong the device, you should eject usb drive before pulling from the port

If your USB stick doesn't appear to be in-use, you can probably unplug it without any data corruption occurring – however, to be safe, it's still a good idea to use the Safely Remove Hardware option. When you eject a device, Windows will tell you when it's safe to remove – ensuring all programs are done with it.

If USB Drive is not in use, then can be remove without ejecting.

Its not compulsory but I advice  you that you should Eject USB drive , Sometime when you remove USB drive without Ejecting, You may loss your USB data or USB drive could be damage ( corrupt )

It is not really necessary to eject your USB drives, this is because most times the USB remains intact. However it is important to remove USB drives after you have ejected them from te machine, this is to prevent the corruption (Data distortion)  hence losing data. You should also eject to make sure that no file is in use from the USB.

Yes, Its essential to remove USB drive after Safely remove/Eject the drive. Cause the power fluctuation damage can result in loss of data or the whole device.

For me, definitely you need to EJECT the USB flash drive before removing it in your laptop or desktop to avoid the damage of the of the USB drive as well as the files being saved in the flash drive.
