Moving from an idea to a project....and from a project to actions.

Above is the natural sequence in project management approach to give shape to idea.

Options available as various Ideas are evaluated for their techno-commercial & practical feasibility prior to further planning &  implementation there on.The most suited idea is chosen for further planning like preparing 'Detailed project report' after making detailed estimates, time schedules, quality & safety plans.Necessary approvals are obtained from top management/competent authority on above plans.

Further planning is done for procurement of proposed work by preparing tender BOQs,contract clauses, conditions of contract (GCC & SCC) and tenders are invited, processed & decided on techno commercial basis to select the best contractors/vendors.

During action phase, proper monitoring & controlling of work progress is done as per duly framed work agreements suiting to the client's objectives.Win-win situations are always kept in mind while conducting works in contract management and works are professionally closed keeping an eye to see if project objectives are duly achieved.

Moving Idea to project, can be best achieve by doing a prototyping or POC or sample modelling supported by a Business Case. As if you have a business case, they may in org you will have some support to work on POC/modelling or prototyping.

Projects to action, can be achieve by working on PMBoks or Prince2 methodology. In my contect action is you execution in project and once delivery completed, then it becomes operations.

Moving from an idea towards the project, the first step is to design the strategy on the basis of that idea. Next is to determine the objectives to be achieved on the basis of that strategy. The rest is the management process, i.e., planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling as well as appraisal, to execute the project and achieve the determined objectives.
