Standards must be approved by all stakeholders. Therefore, to fulfill your production target with maintaining standards, acceptable tolerance must be supported by all stakeholders as well.

In other words why standards and consistency are important. First for our customers: Standards ensure customer expectations are met around the quality of deliverables Standards give customers predictability of deliverables that allow them to better plan programs – critical since our goal and measurement of success is always around customer outcomes Standards reduce turnaround time (by reducing the amount of cycle time spent on revisions and rework) – faster content time to market Standards ensure our costs are managed carefully on projects, resulting in the best possible rates for customers – cost savings Standards ensure our customers’ time is well-managed on projects – and our customer’s time is incredibly valuable, particularly when working with subject experts Standards ensure consistency (of brand, of voice, of presentation, of formats) across communications channels and content types Socond for our employees / team members: Standards ensure the quality of deliverables Standards reduce the amount of frustration caused through re-work or lack of direction Standards improve predictability of resource planning and scheduling And these are all important for team morale, performance and efficiency

Focus on following factors for fulfilling your production target while maintaining the standards -

1] Strategic Planning - For instance if you have a monthly schedule, Divide it into Week wise & Day wise targets.

2] Keep Buffer in planning to compensate for daily lags if any?  Ensure CTP-Critical to process parameters are well in controlled. Utilize Night shift & weekly offs for lags.

2] Ensure First Time Yield.

3] Ensure that production Flow is not hampered. Work on production process layout on the production floor for smooth flow.

4] Implement at least 3S on the shop floor. 5s would be Great!

5] Depute workman as per skill matrix. Evaluate their skills w.r.t skill requirements and place them accordingly.

6] Monitor WIP's very closely. Target for No WIP's. Convert it into FG ASAP w.r.t process time required.

7] Implement following Quality checks - RM / In Process Inspections to avoid last moment surprises

8] In case of any non conformity found in product during execution - divert it into separate location for repairs & reworks. It should not create any hurdles in the flow

9] Ensure proper preventive & predictive maintenance schedule for all your Mc/s

10] Implement SMED wherever applicable.

11] Quick decisions

12] Implement Visual Management boards for Monitoring & taking immediate actions.

There are various strategies you need to decide & implement w.r.t daily updates. You need to be good in Monitoring, Resource management & be a Quick decision maker.
