Time never stops, it keeps moving and things keep evolving, whilst maybe not always positively but change is imminent and businesses who are willing to accept the change, in fact even foresee it coming and adapt to it are the ones that not only survive but thrive in the market. If you are not willing to do that, your competitors will. In fact if you do not feel comfortable phasing out a certain product lets say product "A" then simply create a product "B", the performance of both down the line will help make the decision much easier.

We really should keep up with our customers for us to maintain their interest and even gain more. Change is inevitable even in products and/or services also in customers preferences. So keeping up with them would mean that  you as an establishment thinks and considers how your customers feel. Eventually getting your customers' trust and confidence which can lead to a good and healthy relationship.
