How can we transfer data and programs from a dead PC to a new one?

the user needs to connect the dead pc hard drive to a working pc, and just after connecting star pc and copy all the data to required drive.

If dead Pc's hard disk is working properly, we can connect it to the new pc and use as an additional storage and also transfer data if needed. 

I just ordered a new PC with Windows 8.1 because my old PC running Windows 7 died (bad motherboard), however the hard drive is OK. I thought I would be in good shape to move my data and programs, but apparently not. Does anyone have experience with software that will allow me to connect this old hard drive to the new PC and migrate all my files and programs (except the operating system) to the new PC? I would be connecting the old hard drive to the new PC using an external USB 3.0 hard drive docking station. I'm sure I'm not the first person having to migrate off a dead PC. Help! Thanks & regards

for may own experience I use a Laplink to transfer all data, programs, hidden files, and batch files into a new HDD . as in complete. HDD to HDD.

Note: Remove HDD into DEAD pc, connect to new pc set to "Slave" if SATA automatic detected and run pc ,use "Laplink"

Clone the Hard Drive using a cloning software like Acronis True Image by connecting the HDD to another PC, if the partivular PC is compleletly dead. Here the advantage is that you can use the image created to restore everything to the old state if you have another PC which is same or almost similiar build, even your installed softwares will be the same.

Else connect the HDD to an external docking device or something similiar and copy the data the new PC or storage device which you have.

By cloning the two hard disk so as to copy what is in the hard disk of the dead pc to the hard disk of the new pc

I need software that will back up my hard drive and then restore it to different hardware.Among those that work best are:XXCloneParagon Hard Disk Manager

Take the old HDD from a dead pc and put into a new pc or use hdd enclosure then clone it into a new HDD.

all the documents or files in a computer are stored in  permanent storage device called hard drive or C drive, when a system is totally dead remove the permanent storage device called the hard drive from it and install it to a working machine as a slave by changing the jumper settings on the hard drive in other to backup the files to the working machine

remove dead pc HD & connect with new working PC as a slave, after start new pc and transfer the datas from dead to Working PC.
