It depends on the dictation. Sometimes I can type at a speed of 75 wpm, but sometimes it goes down because of the dictation quality. Your typing speed may be between 80 to 120, but while listening, understanding and typing, it will definitely go down.

Wpm is words per minute.

An average professional typist types usually in speeds of 50 to 80 wpm, while some positions can require 80 to 95 (usually the minimum required for dispatch positions and other time-sensitive typing jobs), and some advanced typists work at speeds above 120 wpm.  Wpm is words per minute.
