Is there an age discrimination when applying for a job that suits your qualification?

I really had a hard time accepting when I noticed this matter in applying for a job here in the Philippines and abroad too.

For an Executive level,it is necessary to fulfill both qualifications and relavant experiences.Due to gaining these experiences age should be in long.So age is not factor for this type of position.But filling the managers or field officers/employee it is necessary to need optimum age i,e the young employees.As because these positions are works by both physical and mental effort.

Yes because they want a resource with a number of years experience and a certain level of qualification, it will also reflect your age and then there is an age descrimination.

In backward countries, discrimination is reported but in the advanced countries, equal opportunity is give to everyone.

Unfortunately age is a consideration everywhere - most companies will deny it but it's out there

 

Would you hire a young person who could offer you20 years in the company or an older person who is not likely to have more than5 years left and is probably slowing up?

لاادري هل المقصود الكبير بالسن . بل بالعكس كل يوم يكون فية خبرة . اذن في اعتقادي( كبير السن ) وانا لااسمية بهذه الاسماء وانما اسمية بأسماء تليق بشخصيتة منها ( مستشار - خبير )وهؤلاء هم كنوز ثمينة لا تقدر بثمن  ممتلئة بالخبرات الفعلية لمن اراد  الادارات الع...ليا كمدراء تنفيذيين او مستشارين  وخبراء يستفاد منهم اكثر  فهم المدراء القياديون فعلا . فلا اعتقد من يستغنى عنهم يعتبر  من الذكاء الاداري . فلا يوجد عمر معين للخروج من العمل الا بالعجز او عدم القدرة فقط .اما بالنسبة للشباب كذلك مطلوبين للاعمال التى تخصهم .ولو كنت صاحب قرار اضع الشخص المناسب في الموقع المناسب كلا حسب الخبرة للمناصب العليا والشهادات للمناصب الدنيا .نعم

If you are the owner of the decision put the right person in the right location both by experience for senior positions and certificates for lower positions . Yes

maybe you mean that the job requirements determine the age by the effort (physical,intellectual,...) and experience required.certainly the experience we get advanced age and not when you receive the certificate from college
