'better' need a definition :) 

as personal knowledge benefit for  a PM,  both frameworks are of equal importance

comparing certification cost and documentation, PMI is 'better' from my  experience

PMP certification  is recognized almost everywhere, Prince mostly in former Commonwealth countries
