Feelings are not considered in professions, there can be alot of reasons for his shifting.

the top reason is may be he is not loving his present profession

2nd reason may be his personal interests like money or fame

or there can be any reason which s/he knows better

1.I felt disatisfied   because he left the profession without training any body to take over from him.

2.I felt degraded because a material is going to another field without me retaining him

3.I felt not doing enough to keep my value assets.

I think he made the right choice

He has determined its real priorities

He preferred to diversify his experience and skills

Maybe he felt uncomfortable in his old job

He was not satisfied with his financial stability

He wanted to be creative

I think it is preferable to change careers every five years, for example, instead of taking a job for life, discovering new horizons, changing monotony, discovering your strengths, making new friends, satisfying your real values
