Firstly, A company needs to choose the technologies available in the field of their operations or production.  Secondly, they need to analyse the effect of that technology and why they need it.  Is it for efficiency or reduce costs or reduce manpower or just to make clients happy !!!   In todays times of a cash crunch, one has to select what he or she is spending on and more so WHY to spend and what will it get for him.  Once technologies are selected then yes, they have to keep them updated always to get the best out of it.  So it is really upto what a company wants and how much cash they can spare.

All the companies prefer latest technologies can speed up their production or growth. but it is not necessary that it will happen in all company. In some companies Production is better from old methods.

It depends on the business requirements.

It is investment, so there are some factors we should consider before taking decision of transforming to new technology. Like ROI, Approved Budget, Business needs, Status of Existing Technology (lack of spare, lack of support, Product Life Cycle, . . .etc), . . . etc

All companies should look at what they need in order to achieve mission.

Tech has come a very long way since the days of Windows 95.

I have found even the newer versions of MS Office have become very clever and 80 % of the time correct a mistake without you realizing you have made one.

Have a global internal look at what your company does and investigate solutions from the Tech industry which can streamline everyone's work.

It leads to increased productivity levels and lower stress levels = Happy Staff = Happy Clients + Owners

It depends on each company & if it really needs to update it's technology all the time or it can use older one for saving some money

Not all companies have to keep up to date with the latest technologies because the size, type, and budget of the company are among the many things that have to be considered. The cost of getting the latest technology for a small company will definitely outweigh the benefit.

No, not all types of technologies might be useful for the company lets take an example of a small company that relies heavily on the feedback from the customers and is involved in production of the trendy goods. For them, it is expensive to open-up retail outlets in every neighborhood for such companies web based business model may be useful for not only selling their goods but asking the comments of the visitors to site or use cookies technology to know what attracted customers attention.

Similarly, for these company SAP (accounting system) may be too expensive to implement the software not because of the software but, rather the inexperienced staff.
