VVT is not related to automatic transmissions therefore following I chose a good VVT described wiki In internal combustion engines, variable valve timing (VVT) is the process of altering the timing of a valve lift event, and is often used to improve performance, fuel economy or emissions. It is increasingly being used in combination with variable valve lift systems. On the other hand there is work on automatic Transmissions to make it smoother in shifting

VVT  (variable valve timing.)  is it  an advanced automotive technology in simple words :the variability of valavs allows to  improved engine efficiency and power over a broad range of engine operating speeds. VVT and lift can reduce fuel consumption by 1 to 6%, saving you money and reducing your impact on the environment. and it means the variability of valavs allows to  improved engine efficiency and power over a broad range of engine operating speeds. thanks for the invitationand as Mr. Fady & Mr. Igor said 'stay with the standard auto' because of the decrease in performance ,maintainance costs and fuel economy ...

Thanks for the invitation.

CVT offers an infinite number of gear ratios by which the car will feel very smooth with unnoticeable gear changes. It adds to the fuel economy as proper gear ratio is always in place through the transmission control. Lower emissions are also noticeable using CVT transmission.

Draw backs such as loss in torque is evident as the cars equipped with CVT tends to lack the punch in same models using a standard auto tranny, in addition to high maintainance costs.

If you are on the sporty side of driving and want to stay in charge of the car stay with the standard auto.

You probably mean CVT (continuous variable transmision) since VVT is "variable valve timing"

CVT is for now pretty much crap in comaprison to other "automatic" types like clasic "oil bath auto" or double clutch solutions.

It is loud as engine is working at constant revs, while performance is also bad. Fuel economy is also worse than in other cases. My suggestion is don`t go with that option.
