Experience matters the most but coupled with qualification, it can take your career graph fast upwards
Hello there,
pratically speaking, nowadays most of the employers looking or their basis was the relevant work experience of the applicant.
They are both important. But neither is very important. The most important thing is character.
Example. The job is mending and altering clothes. There are two candidates, A and B.
CVs
Candidate A: PhD in astrophysics; 3 years experience of mending and repairing clothes during which time they invented a new sewing stitch
Candidate B: dropped out of school; no experience in sewing industry
Which are you going to hire?
Interviews
Candidate A: 20 minutes late; inappropriately dressed; racist to receptionist on the way in; filthy fingernails and a general aroma of rotting sweat; conducts lewd phone conversation with Tinder contact during the interview; no discernible interest in the job
Candidate B; impeccable presentation; friendly, keen and enthusiastic; dropped out of school due to ill health of parents, and thanks to consequent poverty had to make clothes last; keen to make a career in clothing; willing to work for half pay while they learn and has already arranged extra evening classes in sewing
Who are you going to hire now?
The two are as important, the one from the other
But this will depend more on the description of the position, the objectives, the responsibilities and the key tasks as well as the qualities required to occupy it
Normally Academic wont work at this situtaion Since Relevant Experience plays more roll in this
