One cannot hear any sounds in near-empty regions of space. Sound travels through the vibration of atoms and molecules in a medium (such as air or water). In space, where there is no air, no medium, sound has no way to travel
There is no sound in space because there is no air in space. The sound requires a medium to move from one place to another as there is no medium in the space, So sound can't travel or heard......
I agree with the answer of Mr. Aneesh. Space is a vaccumm without any molecules so sound cannot travel.
There is no material medium to conduct the sound waves.
Sound waves travel through particles by vibration. Because outer space has virtually no particulate matter, sound waves cannot travel. This is why there is no sound in space.
Physically, the sound need medium & material to be trasferred from poin to another point due to the vibration of the Molecules in any medium as the Sound waves need this medium to transmit. In Space is not avaliable such condition to move the sound wave from place to to other.
Thank you for the invitation
Sound is basically vibrations in the molecules of the substance through which it travels. To understand why there is no sound in space, you need to understand the process of moving in the first place. The most easy explanation, is that it moves in circles.
For sound the ability to move in all media, including solid, liquid, and gaseous. When traveling in solid circles, you hear something like beatings or gourd. When you travel in gaseous circles, you hear him the way you used to.
In fact, the best medium for sound transmission through which is the air. It is the way we talk to each other, and hear the things around us. When the sound moves in the water, it becomes less effective, just when you are underwater, listening to someone's voice.
There is no air in space, so no sound!
Now, the reason why you do not hear anything in space is the lack of something in it. Which means that even if there is a sound, there is no media to travel the sound through, from that point to our ears.
So, in order for sound to travel, there has to be something with molecules for it to travel through. On Earth, sound travels to your ears by vibrating air molecules. In deep space, the large empty areas between stars and planets, there are no molecules to vibrate.
Sound needs a medium to propagate (molecules vibaration) and thats not present in outer space. hence, no sound.
Sound is mechanical wave which means it requires medium to travel from the place of origin to the listener. As there is no medium in space therefore, no sound can be heard or we can say there is no sound in space.
Sound requires a material medium, which is unavailable in space
