Is it a good idea for firefighters to have a GPS device that would track them inside building and in the case of injury, others would find them immediately?

Why not it is too good to use not only for tracking but also helpful to trace the safe exit path for victim and for other rescuer

No. GPS won't work inside buildings. Satellite signals cannot penetrate thru building walls or roofs.  GPS antenna should be line of sight with the sky where the satellite is located for this thing to provide the geographic info location.

je ne pense pas que c'est une bonne idée, à ce que les pompiers ai un GPS à l’intérieur du bâtiment, car celui ci n'est pas très fiable en milieu urbain. les bâtiments masque les signaux radis utilisés par le GPS, d'ou l’altération de la précision de ce dernier.
