Vision work as strategic plan, while plan could be for today only or for next five years
Vision is where you want to be after the mission/plan is carried out.
Planning is basically part of the mission, whereas mission is the plan to get to your vision
Planning is the work of something that is actually feasible. The vision is to come to something that can be implemented or not
Vision addresses where you see yourself or your company or organisation in future, drawing a bigger picture of what the future may look like for you or your company or organisation. WHILE
Planning entails developing various scenarios,or perspectives on a specific situation, developing objectives & goals, plotting what to do, devising means of how to achieve the desired situation.
In a nutshell, you have to embark of planning process while having a vision in place because the plan must be aligned to achieve the vision at hand.
