Why you always be using water jet cutting method for cutting such special materials?

Water and some other materials are mixed together such as sand and air. These materials are brought to such a high velocity and it cut material into slices because of high pressure produced by this tool.

Due to Water jet cutting the power of materials do week and cutting process do easy also water or cutting oil do smooth the materials so its cutting done easily.

firstly water acts as a collent and a lubricant so by this we do not need an extra powerd coolent during the process and less wear and tear of the tool takes place which increses the life of the tool and gives a good finshed product due to less removal rate that is chips.

And its has a disadvantage a major on....

Water has oxygen and leads to corrosion destroying the life of tool.

water jet cutting or cold cutting is preferred in some cases where heated affected zones compromise the integrity of products. Normal plasma or oxy cutting method causes alterations in the mechanical material properties. Chances of high-stress boundaries may cause failure.

I think because there is no temperature elevation, No stress, No deformation, ...  of cutted materials.

Mostly this process is done under influence of materials properties. For example: Water jet cutting process is applied over granite, because of it's thermal propeties. If we apply plasma or laser cutting process over this material, then it will melt away.

its a cold cutting process, becouse it doesnot change the material properties or heat hardened edges
