Why should a manager give enough importance to the hours of equipements immobilization?

In order to achieve required targets and goals which are actually proposed on the basis of the productivity of equipments working hours.

Failure of the equipment will directly impect on prodution loss or slow down and will affect the equipment avilability which is impact the productivty ,work progress and all KPI's

For relibility & availability of equipmnet montoring the down time and find the root cause  will help to find the correctiv action required to improve the equipment avlability .

Because production is set per hour,equipment has to produce good quality within a limited time which is possible only by immobilization of equipment.

Down time of the equipment will directly affect the equipment avilability which is impact the productivty ,work progress ....etc.

It's all about how efficient your maintenance is. The equipment immobilization or DownTime is an indicator of how efficiently your team is able to resolve the loss of production issue.

KPI such as MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) if used correctly can help a manager see where he needs to focus his attention. Being aware of these KPI can help the manager resolve issues in Maintenance or equipment reliability and increase productivity.
