THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN THE TWO TERMS IS LARGELY TO DO WITH THE ROLE OF SPECIFICATION. VALIDATION IS THE PROCESS OF CHECKING WHETHER THE SPECIFICATION CAPTURES THE CUSTOMERS NEEDS,WHILE VERIFICATION IS THE PROCESS OF CHECKING THAT THE SOFTWARE MEETS THE SPECIFICATION.
