I would learn him some of them!
I'll do my best to deal with that shortage without any negative feeling of him. I'll suggest him so many things to improve our workflow but between me & him only & even he declares that is his idea, there is no issue. At the end I need the right things shall happen in our company.
This is a real time issue in so many situations, but as a subordinate, you can not tell the facts directly, so recommend training programms so that he/she may get a chance to do their SWOT analysis.Even though they don't have the skills as you expect but a lot of learning can be done through them if you are smart enough.
You should then lead your leader, which means to show him how you should work and through plans and graphs in an indirect way.
Yes this could be a situation which many of us has faced. In this case I would suggest to fulfill & follow your own KPI's and simultaneously try give some small suggestions as well to the Senior on how we can improve our strengths. Appreciate his Positive words and ideas and build a very good rapport where he himself gives you the freedom to suggest and work on your own. Accept him as a Leader and gradually fill in the gaps between him and you and be very calm. May be he would come on the track else try and speak to the HR people.
This is a real problem. I would see if he is a social person and can accept others comments then I would have a chance to program him to have such skills.
If not then I would resign because this person will not allow me to work properly.
It might also an advantage to have such a manager if you get what I mean !
Just FOcus in my job and KPIs , and to be the manager of my self and respect the ORg. CHart till i have better opportunity
