Is it necessary to have your own social media pages or accounts of something you do before you start your career in social media marketing?

Thanks for you invitation.Actually Social Media Marketing is not my profile.But I think I have an idea about it.I can not say it is necessary or not.But it is exactly a big advantegous and benefit for you if you'll have.In modern life,especially in modern business internet,social media,and social relations is important.People can communicate,to discuss any text,even to creat busines idea on internet after to implement it in reality.A fortiori it'll be your profile.You have to be open for a more public. If you don't acquire an account at least then how will you enter the world of social media to experience what you like. Same goes to all the other jobs, a background is always a must to have a good start-up in your career.

Prior knowledge and experience handling personal social media pages or accounts gives you an edge and advantage incase of pursuing a career in social media marketing, it can as well be a "stepping stone" for you in this regard hence familiarity with using these pages or accounts is very important as far as social media marketing career is concerned. In my opinion yes, it's essential to have a social media page.

It's a simply school for understanding the social media world. Which are the important sites to watch, the opion leader to follow, the influencer to follow...this is the social media life and any kind of business would be involved. thank you

Think of it this way, you're running a company and you want to see what type of employees you're hiring.

It all depends on the content you have on your social media account. We're humans and rightfully a curious breed, you'd want to see what they've been up to and you could be the cool boss that wouldn't mind their employees posting pictures of them out drinking on a night out with their friends just as long as they don't show up hungover (just an example.) Some do have that issue, and wouldn't hire them based on that, but I personally believe a person outside work are free to do whatever they please.

If you have something useful to share with your social media content whilst at a job interview: Photo skills, hashtags, etc... then that could be extremely useful.

Useful in showcasing your erstwhile experience but not mandatory. What is necessary is having a fair idea of the growth hack ideas and experience in viewing the paradigm of social media marketing.
