There is no thumb rule like total tonnage cfm which we can take for dehumidifying because there can be many different cases.

For dry area this can be almost2-5% of total capacity or in humid area near sea it can be more than % or if indoor swimming pool area it can reach-% of total capacity.

Also dehumidifying is not controlled by CFM. sensible capacity has impact due to air flow but dehumidifying has no impact by CFM.

Di humidifying is actually controlling the humidity in the area that we needed to be air-conditioned. So he room should be of 40% to 60% humidity. In order to do achieve that the air in the entire space should be repeatedly flow through the di-humidifier in the unit. To attain these we needed to determine the fan power that is represented in cfm. Always the tonnage of the air conditioning unit is determined to the actual fan capacity required.
