Well if we're talking easy than I suggest you go with the already established company as you will gain experience and more knowledge through regular trainings. Thus, you are sporadically being prepared to take on an early stage startup where you have previous experience in and already acknowledged how to run things smoothly

Thank you for the invitation ... I think it is best for an existing company - rather than a start-up company - that the company's reputation helps to show the business development results as well as the challenges that faces this company

Thanks for the invite @ Salma Heid.If you ask me which is easy- An established business with well known products and hard work already done in the past is much easier than a start up as you have to farm more and hunt less. But if it’s a startup with some great products and a well known brand , it’s more Fun for the BDM to set the market and showcase his/her skills in my opinion..

It is never easy or difficult to be a business development manager whether it is a startup or an already established, well Known company.

In Both the situations it requires Knowledge, Leadership skills, Communication Skills and readiness to face new chalenges.

In my opinion, it is preferable to be a Business development manager in a startup as that will be more challenging task and it will open doors of ideas as it is a startup, will test your skills at every stage, plenty of Knowledge and learning from the market.

At the end of the day, " It is the learning, Implementation and feedbacks from the Market, that contributes to the growth of the company..!! "

To answer this question we need to know motives and incentives for being a business development manager. In my opinion, in an early stage startup being a business development manager requires more effors, more profisseonal vitality, more caution, more creativity and also more intellegence, in this stage it is better to deal with a business in which the risk is less and the capital is less though there are many successful business development managers with startup companies. far from the early stage startup it is easier for a business devolepment manager who works for a well known company to continue on the same startegy or even to modify the startegy of the company while the company has already it's market and it's potential clients, in general well known companies tend to enlrage their position in the market with less risk, such type of companies often look for business development manger with multi background knowledge and solid experience because they do not take the risk to touch their goodwill and portion in the market
