Social media advantages and disadvantages: Do you think that social media makes people anti-social? how?

I suggest that CIA : Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability are the key factors. Vulnerabilities in the life makes him/ her Anti-social.    

Everything has its pros and cons, so It does.

Advantage,

be in touch with people, circulate mostly important news so fast, honest feedback weather it is good or bad, best part is- those who are less confident to say in front, they can say all the things by this medium. Boosting confidence, improving writing skills, computer friendly (if you are studied from other branches) and many more.

Disadvantage,

You are disconnecting from the real world, lot of false information is spreading, horrible thing is peoples are believing in it because no one else gonna say this news is fake or false. You would think the drawbacks of hidden identity, gonna scare you. People are justifying themselves only not even listening to others. You can't trust anyone blindly for the things they are saying (might be device was using by their friends/family/others). 

It is in their mind, they are social or anti-social. I wont agree with the line, "Is this making someone anti-social." If you have enough confidence, Turn off the computer, invite friends/nabours for tea, go to the park with society members, be social, be active in your society atleast. Social network is not going to stop you in anyway.

Social Media is entirely provides a platform for all users, create awareness and enhance you business or brand.

Disadvantages:

It may be create a false statement or image about any product.

Yes social media makes people anti-social in many circumstances like if you talk about current situation every user has their own perspective regarding knowing the background of any situation. People are more judgmental through social media and that would leading towards anti-social perspective. 

Advantages may include

• Being socially present ubiquitous 
• Transferring/receiving news instantly
• Promotion/advertisement reach globally (depending on geography selected)
• Breaking the barrier of shyness in sharing/participating

Disadvantages

• If social media is fully depended on regarding communication/emoticons then person may get rid of real feelings through sharing them electronically.(relieving stress online)
• Social media can lead to access of private information for the wrong parties and if used incorrectly may lead to real danger (crimes, kidnapping, etc...)
• Excessive hours of posting and receiving likes on your posts will produce dopamine in your brain, thus your happiness becomes dependent on receiving likes (Addiction)

Yes it may cause people to be anti-social if not utilized correctly. Certain studies shows that the cyber world is every individuals anonymous world where you are not seen thus the barrier of fear is broken. This will lead the individual to post and message subjects he/she wouldn't address in real life, hence leading the individual to their own world where the user may satisfy him/herself online.
