Option C - SF6 has excellent dielectric properties,  and is well suited for use in interrupting devices for relatively low switching ratings. Use of SF6 reduces the space requirements for the switchgear, isolates the switching elements from environmental contamination, and allows significant reduction of maintenance.

Sulfur Hexa flouride is the gas widely used as Insulating medium normally in Switchgear of nominal voltage more or equal to 33kV ( This is not a tight rule please). This makes the switchgear compact , and hence finds wider application in HV/EHV of range 132/220kV in instances where a substation needs to be built midst of a Down town where space for switchyards are next to impossible
