i think the after a long time  traditional marketing medium is facing a challenge and the digital marketing is growing fast and its advancing every day and its good to have competition on any field so now traditional media bcm more affordable now  and i like to see more of it so that the more new ideas will come out and  more reach will be possible for a  new /ad . And i dont think it will kill the traditional media marketing sure it will make it more efficient and effective

The importance of traditional media could be over looked and its keep on working as usual. The social or digital media is relatively fast and cheap source of marketing and generate/attracts more potential customers and eventually directed towards various form of traditional marketing.

There is no distruction. It is a upgraded version of traditional "referel" marketing system. I think it showing the nature of "network marketing". May be it is effected on our personal life.

Respected Sir

I beg to differ. I think digital marketing and social media can multiply the effects of traditional marketing many fold. For example when a product is out of warranty (OOW)the customer service do not support the product any more as that would be too costly for the company. But then if an (OOW) product owner  calls in the contact center he/she is generally  guided to a social media support site where the experience is not that great but the issue gets resolved. Now there is a possibility that the customer most probably  would not be angry on the brand any more. But would be open to ads and sales campaigns of the brand.

Social media (and digital media as a whole) cannot be placed above or below traditional marketing forms.Traditional media is at a constant. Efforts are on by marketing teams in agencies and firms to build the brand better using traditional media, by adding experiential marketing into the equation and establishing better connect with the audience.Social and digital media is being accessed by more users every second. Statistically speaking only of the UAE, over60% of the populace is well-connected through social media. The average time spent by a user on the internet is over6 hours a day sometimes. The reach of digital media in the Middle East is more than that in some other regions of the world. Precisely for this reason, the use of digital media is now more pronounced and important. It is an important cog in the wheel of the entire marketing campaign for any brand.Hence, digital media does not KILL traditional media, but supports it and adds the human element. Digital media plays a very important role in any brands' marketing strategy and its importance can only grow with increasing user-base. However, a company can not do away with traditional above-the-line marketing and ONLY go digital.

Each has different audiences, we're talking about several generations some of which are still resilient to digital media in general, marketing efforts through various channels whither online or offline should be consistent and in the same flow.
