To protect workbook Structure, click File > Info > Protect Workbook > Protect Workbook Structure, and select options to prevent users from modifying data.

To Encrypt with password, click File > Info > Protect Workbook > Encrypt with Password, The Encrypt Document dialog box appears. In the Password box, type a password, and then type it again when prompted.

To protect Current Sheet, click File > Info > Protect Workbook > Protect Current Sheet, and you can select password protection and allow or disallow users to modify data.

To remove password encryption from the file, open the workbook and enter the password in the Password box. Then click File > Info > Protect Workbook > Encrypt with Password. Delete the contents of the Password box, click OK, and then save the file again.

To remove password protection from the workbook structure, click File > Protect Workbook Structure, and then type the password in the Unprotected Workbook dialog box.
