Autocad is better Autocad is designed as a drafting tool. It was the best ever and still is. If you mainly work with detailed drawings, I think most likely you will say AutoCAD is better than MicroStation. Later, many applications use AutoCAD as a platform. Autodesk puts many tools to AutoCAD, even change the rendering engine to mental ray. The same rendering engine for 3ds Max. But still, the AutoCAD strongest point is its drafting capability.
I always prefer Revit, if you need to make your work as a professional way and clear of clashes sure you will need to use BIM System
It depends on the nature and function of the engineering drawing. AutoCad is practical for simple 2d presentations especially when limited synchronization or coordination is required. Revit is better when you intend to use the drawing as a source of information that can be extracted automatically into schedules or tables. It also provides the flexibility of adding and modifying parameters.
AutoCAD is better tool for Engineering drawing because its feature are more better than other drawing software and this software is widely using all over the world
