Computers that belong to different IP networks have to communicate with each other via a Layer 3 Switch or router.

NO. its not possible.For communcication between networks there they require addresses , and IP address is what they check while communication , If there is no IP, even we can't ping to a network. But in a LAN we cn use  MAC. but its complex and not used.

No it is not possible. Even for same network also an valid ip address should be there to communicate each other. Either we can assign a static ip or use DHCP to get an ip.

No, without IP address in different device you can't configure or communicate on it.

Each device has unique identity, and that is IP address.
