Leaders are leaders and they are nothing until they do something crucial and out of the box for their followers. This subject has been discussed long that leaders are born (Trait theories) or they are made (Behavioural theories, Transformational theory, Transactional Theory, Situational, Distributed). My view on this is Leaders are made not born. They have vision but that too is built through the passage of time. They learn to communicate well as they are exposed to different envirronments. They learn from behaviours of others. Simply put they get everything from the environment and return it to the environment by their leadership. Moreover, if somebody still thinks that they are born i would like to share with them that a baby in womb is also going through learning process. So, when a great leader is born he has learnt things differently than others. Thus, for me leaders face the world and every day bringsnew challenges to them and they accordingly plan, act and redo if necessary. This is what makes a leader.
