I believe security dose not completely depend on the OS, but instead it depend on the mechanism that used by the security team in a company.
Therefore, choosing a OS for a company may depend on many things like for example, A company that have professional information security team may use a Linux OS, since it is an open source. Moreover, using an open source would cut the cost of software licenses which could be very expensive. However, a company that may not be able to afford to have a team of information security specialist would go for MAC or Windows, since Apple or Microsoft would make the patching and updates available. Finally, I believe saying what OS a company should use is so tough, so the smart movement is to study the need of a company and security should follow later.
Remember: As security increase the usability decrease.
