Strongly agree, some issues and activities inside organization build and not born like a team which is build by someone born like a leader !
Certainly, successful team leadership is made and not born. Teams can be created, trained, assembled, rebuilt, polished and put to work after exhaustive assessment. A talented team can lead the company efficiently, innovatively, successfully into right direction and also manage it in trouble times.
Outside of business or in small family business, some teams may be born and greatness may be thrust upon them by circumstances or favoritism. But in professional business, teams are built. Team building is a challenge and a great task which includes great communication activities, problem solving, decision making, adaptability, planning, and building trust, cooperation & coordination, to achieve company's common goals. Jim Collin's "Good to Great" is a good reference. To make a team dynamic, various traits and qualities imbibed into it like changing the mindset of silos down, diversity, cross-team functionality, transparency, culture shift, visibility, flexibility, brading, ethics, and last but not least resolving conflicts between youth and experienced. A built team is like a golden key which opens every lock.
I agree with the second part of the atatement. Team are built by communication by adopting and by compromises.
