Hazard: Something with the potential to cause a Harm of any kind.
Example:
Injury to People,Damage to Equipment orDamage to Plant Etc.
Risk: The likelihood that a hazard will Cause Harm, in combination with the severity of injury, Damage or Loss
Hazard is anything that has potential to cause harm i.e, injury to personnel or damage to property and environment. examples are noise, hot surface, poor lighhting etc.
Risk is the combination of likelihood and consequences. Risk is the likelihood high or low that somebody could be harmed by these hazards together with an indication that how serious could be the harm.
HAZARD – anything with the potential to cause injury or harm and/or property damages
RISK – the likelihood that a situation involving exposure to danger will cause harm in combination with the severity of injury, damage or loss might foreseeable occur
