I think we should hire perfect people and let them work. Overqualified is nothing, they are more exprienced and knowledgeable pwrsons.
i prefer to search of people i can stand by of them to achieve to goals by this way we can choose people have more skills and hard work too but over qualified word dont be good way to gain anything
thank you
I prefer a normal candidate who answers a simple question upto the moderate level, cause it provokes interviewer's mind that candidate might be a risk to the department.
Need to Smile, hahahahaha,
Sorry for that but because this work what i used to hear from any place i try to apply for it.
Over Qualified word, means that the person who looking to hire new person is not confident about his capability to manage higher skills persons,
For me strong organiation is the one which already have it is clear rules which make everyone undrrstand his rule and his rights,
accordingly i will not have any issue to hire any high skill person as this definetly will be an add value for the organization
No I do not believe in the overqualified word while looking for a new employee.
Yes, I will search them myself to serve my goal provided he/she has the right attitude, competencies required for the job and is not very expensive for the Organization
From my point of view, I have relied on qualified candidates and sincere loyal staff, in addition to the availability of competence, experience, education and strong personality.
Personally for me, i look first of all for the attitude that i am looking for, then experience, then qualifications. Because if a person has the attitude i need, i do get what i want with his experience and qualifications. Behaviourally structures questions will tell me a lot about his past behaviour in presence of situations and his attitude.
In some cases, yes i would like to have an overqualified person keeping in mind the future and the position i wish this person to take up in the near future. But yes, the cost of the person being overqualified is my responsibility incase calculations go wrong.
Thanks for invitation,
I do believe that, matter is subject to the "Job Description" and how the H.R. people are trying to attract the right calibers to the right job, as a matter of fact it is their own role.
Maximum tasks are depends on situations. Some times overqualified just like as over confidence. Your subordinates will work upto 70% to 80% efficient and as Leader or Manager it is upto you take 100%. Balance will be there in your managing and result oriented techniques.
That is pretty akin to asking if one prefers to choose a Believer or an Atheist as a friend.
In which case, irrespective of any suggested data trend on which kind is usually a better Human Being, I would choose to disregard the type but focus on the criteria required for a good friend.
Similarly, Either of these, an overqualified or a less qualified candidate could potentially be advantageous to the team and to the work at hand.
I have personally seen huge potential that people bring in with
1) Attitude
2) Capability (Expertise) /Capacity (of Learning, sometimes) and Benefit of Perspective
3) Social Skills (Communication, Leadership and Strategic abilities).
Not many of these talents are usually taught in universities.
So I would not accept overqualification as a blank cheque at all.
