Hobbies are very important, this tells your possible new emplyer that you have the motivation to keep occupied in other interests. It shows you are a planner, a person who mixes easily and you like to try new things.

Now candidates  mentioned extra-curricular activities in their profiles and it’s good to mentioned any field of interest like sports or leisure activities. It is better to write under this category rather than mentioning hobbies.

From my point of view write the hobbies is good  if the hoobies vive an intellectual impression of the person. In all areas, the focus of CV should be to highlight important experiences and skills.
