I'd thank him if he was right, and promote the mentality of attention and hard work.
It might depend upon the situation. In some cases, I have found students to have erroneous information that they believe to be true (often gleaned from the internet) and their correction is flawed. Of course, if I make a mistake, I own up to it. I'm only human, after all. If a student comes up with an alternate answer that is valid and can support it, I applaud their effort.
I would totally accept his correction, that's because of 2 things:
1- We are all humans, it's totally natural for us to make mistakes...but that shouldn't get repeated lots of times.
2- Teaching is a double sided process...if you don't learn from your students while teaching them, then you're not doing it right.
I will accept his/her correction as sometimes the students have different opinions and understand things indifferent ways which is correct
i will accept it , everyone may be make a mistake
My reaction in such cases is to appreciate the student and shed some light on his/her full understanding of the point. Similar cases sometimes take place where instructors should be cooperative and openminded. It's not at any means annoying.
If he was right then why not!? we all learn from each other I will deal with my mistake then i will say "thank you so much"!
If a student Corrects us, being honest wee should accept and encourage them if the correction is right. Or else with patience, smile and caring we should correct or make them understand for the right correction.
By nature students have active brains and creative thinking compare to us. They might surfing a lot than us day by day as well as they have lot of interest to learn and know new things. Its Nature and if i am in that position i will encourage them that the identity of a good teacher. I would like to be a good teacher.
