However, which of these needs take priority depends upon level of responsibility and human interaction asscoiated with the leadership position. At mid management level, it would be extremely important to maintain a balance between company and employee needs. At the higher level of management; however, company interests take priority. This is why tough decisions like layoffs need to be made by leaders like CEOs to ensure survival of the company.
