It sure is. It doesn't only helps you in retaining them, but also gives you the opportunity to generate new businesses from them. And a happy customer will also give you new references(word of mouth) to grow your business more.
It is a big part, after service is very important to mintain a good relationship with current customers and potential customers
In my opinion customer service is not the new marketing, this is because customer service is the conduit to help marketing change its mindset to enable its transformation so its a valuable piece of the entire customer service vision
I think customer service means either making sure that customers are satisfied ore knowing their needs , so it`s part of the process of marketing
In my opinion, every company employee also forms a part of the marketing team, not just customer service representatives. Happy employees will work tirelesly to promote the company and attract customers. Customer service representatives though are the frontline of the office and are in a better position to drivethe marketing process.
Customer service always in the market from the day businesses started. It always gives you a great benefit to producing news businesses for your your every ideal customer.
Marhaba Lina,
Customer Service has always been (or should always have been) a very important part of marketing. It is far more cost effective (much cheaper) to sell again to a customer you already have than it is to find a new customer to sell to. Also, satisfied customers will tell their friends about your product/ service. And dissatisfied customer will tell 10 times more people about the poor service your organisation provides.
So the phrase "Customer Service is the new Marketing" is just a new way of reminding entrepreneurs, business owner, managers and sales & marketing staff that customer service is the most cost effective path to future sales.

I do agree but it is not a new marketing as a matter of fact customer service is old and traditional marketing. it starts with the first impression is the best impression. As you impress your customers so you fetch the results. It establishes rappo, unconditional supplier customer relations, helps in the growth of the business. in order to maintain healthy relations and continous growth never forget your after sales service promises.
Yes and no depending on the tenacity and intention of the servicer/servant
