Marhaba Hossam,

I will suggest the main reason (but not the only reason).

Studying management teaches you the fundamentals, 'the rules'. Following those rules, the same rules, processes and systems everyone else uses gets you the same results everyone else is seeking. Stability, managability, control.

However, there are times when you do not want the same result as everyone else. Generally it is easier for those who have not been indoctrinated by management education to think "outside the box" and grasp opportunities that others are unable or unwilling to attempt. If that new idea, process, or system is successful your organisation will leap ahead and you will be credited with great success.

Two additional things to remember. One, not following the management 'rules' can also be disasterous. Two, really good trained managers can, with experience, become so competent that they can also 'think outside the box'. This si the best situation of all, because they will use their education to ensure stability, and their experience to take appropriate innovative measures.

Dear  Sara,

It is a good question.

The traditional concept of management (Art & Science) is not perfect enogh.

Management is: Art, Science, and Craft.

So, there is a new trend in planning called Crafting Strategy.

"Peter Druck"; the father of management mention that management is a PRACTICE through his book "Practice of management".

ٍSo, there are peole did not study management and are good manager.

Good Luck.
