Sure PDF format since the PDF format cannot be changed by the receiver easily but the Word file will be available for editing by anyone.

PDF protects the format of your documents because Word sometimes alters their format. I cannot think of any other reason. I refuse to believe that someone will change information on my cv.

Basically to ensure that there is no change in information on your cv. it is advisable that once you are sending a document to someone outside your work enviroment, you pdf the document to guard against change in information

To protect information from change

Marhaba Sarah,

Word formats a document in a particular way. When you open it in Word on any computer, it will look the same. But if you open it with another document editing software, it may look very different, with things getting jumbled and difficult to read.

PDF stands for Portable Document File/Format. It means it is designed to look the same regardless of what software is used to open it. Of course most people open it with a PDF reader anyway, because it is free to download, instal and use. So your CV will appear exactly as you intend it to appear.

This is the biggest reason why it is preferable to send your CV in PDF format.

Shukran.
