In my opinion, the most common mistake is " giving up". Some people give up on reading because they are bored or because they got lost and couldn't follow the storyline. what is worse is choosing reputation over taste. when it comes to pick up a book most people go for the big names. everone has a different tolerances and perferences for certain writting styles. some prefer a fast-paced and absorbing read whereas others want a leisurely exploration of the inner-self.  whatever your taste is, it strongly influences how much you'll like a certain book.reading classics is like exercising when you start out you are weak. some people might give up like i mentioned before. These books are amazing pieces of literature … and really not that easy. They’re complex works that demand patience and a practiced eye for literary references. Otherwise, lots of it will go right over your head even if you finish it. That’s doing both you and the book a disservice. Instead, start off with foundational works that won’t overwhelm you.

Thank you for your question that it may takes so much time and pages to answer, but however there is an important point I can mention now.

That is we have to wait the reader to complete his sentence then we try to draw his attention to his prononsiation mistake.

Students unable to understand in which context it has been written ,especially those who have no knowledge of western culture.

Difficulty in understanding the language or text ,vocabulary etc and hence miscomprehend the piece.

This is another funny illogical question. The only reply I can think of is that the only mistake they can make is not to read down to the end of a book
