Hi, I think, by collaboration and coordination when sharing the achievements of the processes and solution using the latest technology.Often, leakage of information will cause misunderstandings and require more explanation, even in detailed, to how to do that tasks.

I was so lucky that I worked with two teams in my recent company, one in Kuwait and the other in Oman. Both of them were having a high level of expertise. Eventually, we hand over too many cost-effective projects that needed to coordinate between multiple branches with budget and time frame.

As per my experience and my views, you are working with remote team then clear communciation is must important, Might be on email sometimes its happens we keep playing email and email and the sender tryes to give some messages but receiver understand somethings different. So when u send an email please pick up a call and try to understand the message to him, so that the message is clear and if he/she have some problem they will ask immediately. And when u call someone it creates a physcological pressure. I know every times its not possible to call and understand the message but where it is urgent and important work is there we can call to get it done our tasks on time and in accurate way.

Team work is the base for achieving objectives and making a remote team work in sync and harmony to create synergy is the million dollar question.

In my experience the most important part is communication. A seamless and discrepency free communication is necessary.

Then, the second thing is to have defined set of rules and SOPs. This ensures minimall hindrance in the work and allows every one to be alligned towards same objective / goal.

Transparency is of utmost importance, just like an open source program. The span of control, however, should remain intact.

I believe that the main part of every remote company is a decent virtual workplace to communicate with employees, organize the working process and effectively work together. In general, remote work is a great way to increase productivity, but only with good tools because otherwise, the workflow will only worsen.

Thanks for the invite Dana. It has never been as easy as today to telecommute thanks to the advance in technology. Decentralising the workplace is possible when team members are intrinsically motivated to pull their weight. Assessing effort does not have to be carried out on the basis of time spent on a task but rather on results achieved. With common objectives but broken up tasks, team memebers can collaborate towards reaching their goals.
