Wake up early and make sure your CV is reaching HR before others

dont submit your CV during holidays as it will be one of other thousands but try to keep it in your email draft until the first hour of the working week

only submit CV and covering page ( no need for certificates and degrees copies at this stage)

Make a list of all applied jobs and how did you apply
