in my opinion as a former coder in java and now as a pythonista i see the following :
1 - python is easy to tweak
2 - easy and less code needed to accomplish tasks compared to java
3 - open source and community supported with thousands of libraries for all areas even mobile developments and cyber security ( it's hackers' favorite language )
4 - fun to play with
