My understanding is -Both relate to customer engagement - while the former relates to efforts in engaging certain segment of clientele for specific product portfolio / specific age group etc and the latter anticipates the needs of larger section of populace with "innovation and technology" enabled future ready solutions acceptable to many customers in general
Strategy being Customer foucussed is driven by - is want based - customer taste / preference while Strategy being customer centric is driven by - is need based common denominator across larger cross section of customers .

Customer-focused strategies: The company that is customer-focused aims at interacting with customers so as to sell more and more products making out the maximum profits.
Customer-centric strategies: When the organisation is more interested in understanding the needs and wants of the customers its called being the customer-centric. This stratyegy aims at focusing on maintaining long term relationships with customers.
customer focused mean something gets there attention while customer centric strategy mean approaching looking for something what they desire.i think so
it is hard to tell the difference between customer-focused and customer-centric thinking. However, when you peer into their internal processes, KPIs and other operating metrics, a different reality often emerges. What you discover when you look under the hood is that many companies mistake their customer-focused culture for a customer-centric one.
- customer-focused companies care about wants. because they are focused on delivering on customer wants.
- customer-centric companies care about needs. because It requires that you get deep into understanding their fundamental needs as part of your relationship management efforts.
