Humor is one of the ways to handle stress. If it is used in the right manner, it can be the best tool to manage conflict. However, this requires experience and wisdom. It is a skill with the sponteneity, positive and respect elements to be there.
its kinda risky it may understand that you're mocking someone. i'd rather praise involve person and explain that what happened was unfortunate but i am glad that they the invlove person because i have known them to have patience and good behaviour thus i expect them to easily forgive and forget.
