What is the difference between Skills and competency?

Skill has to do with our personality + experience.
E.g.
social skills.
Competency is what we get through education + experience e.g.
accounting.
Both very important, but I peronally value skills more.

Skill is a TOOL, that one possess! Competency is the ABILITY using a skill! Different people use the SAME SKILL, but, with DIFFERENT COMPETENCY! For e.g., Let us take a football game: The field is same The football is same The rules are same for all Time is same, and, all the players dribble, pass the ball, kick the ball, etc, but only A FEW PLAYERS produce MAGICAL RESULTS!!! >>> that is called COMPETENCY.........................!!!
