Hi, There are varying degrees of severity in OCD [Obsessive compulsive Disorder] but a quick idea is if the behavior is interfering with your day to day life-style, e.g. are you being late for work/appointments due to you engaging in rituals associated with OCD [repeatedly ensuring you turned off gas / electric lights etc.--going to your car to ensure the lights are turned off/washing re-washing your hands after touching "unclean surfaces" checking and re-checking if you locked the house / car doors etc. If the symptoms are mild/, you may be able to manage your behavior without professional help, in more severe symptoms? professional help should be sought...good luck!.
